09/28/2015 - thomasksmith Sold a Townhouse home in 2015 for approximately $350K in Lansdale, PA. Making the decision to sell a home in which you have lived and raised a family for almost 40 years is a very difficult and emotional process. My wife of 50 years and I made our decision to move based on many factors, and once that was done, we began the daunting task of selecting someone to represent us in marketing and selling our home. Many suggestions as to who we should use came to us from numerous sources, but in the end, on the recommendation of a lifelong friend, we entrusted Jayne Thorsen of the ReMax group to guide us. From the very beginning, it was apparent that Jayne is not only gifted in understanding the Real Estate process and all of the technicalities involved, but equally and possibly more important is her ability to understand the needs and emotions of her clients and to gently yet firmly lead them through the very arduous decisions required in the selling of a home. The expedient and expert marketing of our home by Jayne and her husband Bob totally exceeded our expectations, drawing immediate viewings, resulting in our beautiful home being successfully sold in 18 short days, and in actuality having sold four days prior to the scheduled Open house. The buyers of our home asked for and were given a settlement date less than two months away. In addition to selling our home, my wife and I were in the final stages of completing the four month process in what we believed would be the purchase of our next home. At almost the exact time that our home sold, and due to unforeseen circumstances, we made the decision to walk away from the purchase of our chosen new home, leaving us to begin the search for a new home all over again. Thankfully, we were now in the good hands of our trusted friend Jayne Thorsen, who very quickly put together a listing of properties for Birdie and I to view. In addition, Jayne also began to prepare and guide us in realistically looking to the future, just in case we were unable to select another home prior to the settlement of our existing home, which would technically leave us homeless. During the next week, Birdie and I viewed several homes, and because of Jayne's knowledge of our needs and of the available market, we found what we believed to be a lovely home in which we knew we would be happy. I am writing this review exactly four weeks after completing settlement on both our former, and our new homes, and I cannot begin to express the happiness and contentment my wife and I feel with what has transpired during the past three months. I cannot adequately express the respect and gratitude that Birdie and I feel for Jayne and how thankful we are for the manner in which she represented and cared for us. My wife Birdie and I highly recommend Jayne to all who are looking for someone to help them sell their home or to purchase a new one.....but be aware, you will truly gain a great friend in the process. On a final note, Birdie and I cannot begin to express just how happy we both are in our new home.....while we believed it impossible to love another home as much as our previous one, we are extremely close to doing just that.
