Born in Mid West, I have lived in Florida for 31 years. I am the Broker/Owner of OCEANIQUE REALTY, LLC for over 15 years. My real estate career began in 1983, so I have worked through many markets, good and bad.
I bring a love of people and 31 years of experience to the business which means I have worked through an abundance of real estate scenarios. Occasionally a new twist comes along but these days it's pretty rare. I have handled just about every issue a seller or buyer comes up against.
As I see it my job is to insulate my customers from the pitfalls that cause transactions to fail. Behind the scenes there are many details that require skillful handling in order to close the transaction. Let's face it, being a REALTOR® when the market was booming was comparatively easy. Regulations have become somewhat absurd, sellers have less equity in their homes. Regardless, buying and selling real estate can be flawless and even an enjoyable adventure (dare I say fun?) especially with quality service from a real estate professional like myself.
Tensions and apprehensions are always present in real estate transactions and justifiably so. Buying or selling real estate can be very personal. For most sellers the home that has provided their family with shelter for so many years is full of memories that will last long after the sale. The place where they raised their children and worked for hours in the garden can be difficult to let go. On the other side of the transaction buyers are looking for a new home to build future memories and finding that perfect place requires patience and understanding.
My responsibility is to understand the personal nature of real estate while being the voice of reason and finding solutions to the problems that arise in every transaction. So many real estate opportunities are lost due to misunderstanding and/or misguided emotions. I approach every transaction with the mindset that both parties have good intentions and from there I seek to find a win-win situation for everyone. This is where competent Real Estate professionals truly earn their pay, but just getting to the closing table with a happy client is the ultimate reward in itself.
