I have had the pleasure of working with Jelaine “GiGi” Gilliam of Hunter & Rowe to both sell my townhouse in Durham and look for a new home in the Triangle area. I received brilliant advice for prepping my house for listing so GiGi was able to bring me a buyer and contract within 24 hours of posting my property to Coming Soon! The closing was delayed due to unforeseen issues with the buyer’s lender but GiGi held my hand and kept me informed as well as advocating for me during the closing process. We have already started looking for my new home and I have confidence in GiGi—she has her finger on the pulse of the current housing market and knows what I need to evaluate as I consider homes that are available. I know she will help me find the right place to call home!

Jelaine "Gigi" Gilliam is a wonderfully knowledgeable agent but most importantly she is patient and has a joyful spirit. She's genuinely a nice person. Gigi was very responsive and always available to answer questions or help me solve whatever I thought was a problem. I had offers for my house in hours. It sold in ONE day, Closed in TEN and for thousands over the asking price! I couldn't have done it without Gigi. She cares and it shows. Gigi was very responsive and helpful during our home buying process cross-country. She is very technologically adept; she was able to get videos of pieces of land and walk-thrus of houses and upload them high quality. She also takes good photos and is detail-oriented. These qualities were extremely helpful as we are remote buyers in another state--and we know how important these skills are especially during a time of covid when we'd like to reduce contact as much as possible. Whenever we wanted to see a piece of land or house in person, she was right there with us every step of the way to give advice and inform us of her professional opinion keeping our desires in mind. She helped us find a lot that's perfect for our family--has lots of trees and privacy and space in the backyard for our kids to play. Closing on the lot and construction for the house was extremely smooth. A notary came to our current house, and we did all the signing outdoors on our driveway in beautiful weather--safety during covid was a high concern as a vulnerable person, and these professional options were indispensable. My husband is an attorney, so we understand how professionalism, insight, and skill in a service-oriented field is crucial for clients. We are on the receiving end this time and are very happy clients!
