Three years ago, Jennifer Pickett helped us sell our first home here in NJ. On November 22, 2024, she helped us with purchasing our second home. My husband and I knew that Jennifer would be our contact person for this housing market adventure.

For the last six months, Jennifer’s energy was unmatched. She brought it and it is what we received.

When we were ready to buy another home, we knew how knowledgeable Jennifer was in the real estate industry and knew that it would benefit us in all aspects of our search. As before, she always gave professional advice, especially on things that were very concerning to us. Sometimes, she would message us during late hours and we’d ask ourselves if she ever sleeps…..lol!

We were lucky enough to meet Jen at an open house a year prior to our house hunting journey. She gave me her contact information and told me if I didn’t want realtors coming up to me, I could just say I was using her until I was ready to purchase a home. When the time came, I called her and was available to look with me within days. Everyone we spoke with asked us how we were lucky to get to work with her because of how talented she is. She walked us through the process with ease which you probably already know is overwhelming to say the least, especially if it’s your first time, and in this case it was. Jennifer Pickett helped us sell our starter home fast in Garfield, NJ. We had multiple offers that were all above asking. Jennifer had excellent photos taken, a floor plan drawn, and limited the time we needed to be out of the house. These were key to having such a great experience selling our home. It was a 3 day period of time- 2 days of showings, 1 open house. This allowed us to plan for our pets and children to be out without impacting our lives during the selling process. We also didn't have weeks and months of trying to keep the house show ready clean. We had thought about doing for sale by owner (FSBO), but decided to find a realtor (real estate agent) to help navigate this crazy market. Jennifer gave us tips on staging our house and what repairs should be done to sell a house. Jennifer helped us navigate the various offers that came in (FHA, VA, conventional), appraisal gaps, inspection waivers, rent back, etc. Without Jennifer's knowledge and guidance, we may have just went for the highest offer. Jennifer patiently explained why some offers might be better and that we should not just look at the highest number. We accepted an offer $35,000 over ask, which was about 10% over.

Jennifer also helped us buy a house. We were looking in Bergen County (specifically Westwood, Washington Township, Northvale, Norwood, Closter, Old Tappan, Hillsdale, Ridgewood, Montvale, Park Ridge, Emerson, Paramus) for our forever home. Jennifer was reliable, prompt, and always took our call. Jennifer was able to get us in to view properties at the first availability. Jennifer was key in negotiating with the seller's agent. We put in offers on two homes- that's all it took with Jennifer as our agent! We didn't get the first house, but the second house was a better size, location, school district, and had more acreage. The house we were able to buy with Jen Pickett's assitance was on the road to being a short sale. We were able to complete the purchase quickly and efficiently. Jennifer was very communicative and was available for the multiple inspections we had (chimney, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ground radar). Jennifer was not pushy, but recommended a mortgage broker who was able to beat the rates we had shopped around for. It was a great experience. I would use Jennifer Pickett again in the future.

There are not enough great things to say about Jennifer. My husband inquired about a listing on realtor.com, minutes later we had a call from Jen. Jen immediately asked us our needs and was willing to help in anyway she could. Jen helped us both purchase our new home and sell our existing. The process was seamless! I was a bit nervous because our search for our new home was narrowed to a certain area of town because of the school system.
