When introduced, I tell people I am a FULL TIME, PROFESSIONAL REALTOR®. Why? Because unlike most REALTORS® this is my FULL-TIME profession and single source of income. I emphasize PROFESSIONAL because I have been a REALTOR® for over 18 years and prior to that I had 36 years in telecommunications and as a business owner. Currently I have 11 certifications and/or designations, including Corporate Relocation.

Since starting my career in real estate, I have consistently been a Top Producer. After moving to Rockwall in 2013 The Welch Team was voted as the “New & Emerging Business of the Year in 2015” and Best Small Business in 2016 by the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce. I have been recognized in D Magazine as one of the top REALTORS® in all of Dallas for the last 3 years.

Personal
Nicki, my wife of 51+ years, and I moved to Rockwall all the way from the northwest tip of Plano in 2013 to be closer to our only daughter and son-in-law, but mainly our two grandkids – Brady 15 and Landry 13. Since moving to Rockwall, I have had the opportunity to go through the Citizens Police Academy, Citizens Fire Academy and Leadership Rockwall - Class of 2016. I just termed out from serving on Rockwall’s Planning and Zoning Commission, and Chaired the City of Rockwall Comprehensive Plan (Our Hometown 2040), currently I am on the boards of the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Rockwall Noon Rotary and the President of the Rockwall County Rainbow Room, as well a substitute teacher in our local church Life Group.
