About Jess

Working for more than two decades as a teacher -- with folks of all ages and from diverse walks of life -- is foundational in how Jess interacts with clients. Jess grew up in Stuarts Draft, VA, in the Shenandoah Valley, and spent most of her teen years living on a farm. But the Green Acres life was never quite her style and she set her sights on a penthouse city view from a young age. After high school, she moved to Bristol, TN, where she earned a degree in Behavioral Science and elementary education. In 2001, she came to Richmond for graduate school and officially began her love affair with the city. Jess returned to Staunton for about a decade, but visited Richmond frequently. Then once again she harkened to RVA’s siren call and moved back in 2016 to put down roots. After teaching for more than 20 years, Jess switched careers and dove into real estate. She is passionate about building rapport and cultivating relationships. Jess can often be found at neighborhood dives and eateries enjoying food, libations, and deep conversation. Traveling, cooking, entertaining, reading, and enjoying the arts are among some of her favorite things, especially when she’s with her partner Ron, family, or friends.
