Jim Berns has 40 years of success as an agent and as a Broker of Record, guiding and contributing to the success of hundreds of agents. He is the creator and founder of The Broker Roundtable. As an active agent, Jim has listed and sold over 600 homes. During the early 1990’s and early 2000’s, Jim Berns Seminars trained hundreds of professionals from different industries (real agent agents, lenders, CPA’s and attorneys) on the complex issues pertaining to short sales, forbearance, foreclosure, bankruptcy and debt relief. Helping thousands of homeowners navigate the housing crisis. The San Diego Union Union-Tribune has featured Jim Berns in several articles referring to Jim in a 1992 article as “a Specialist in a Time of Need.” As the Broker/Owner of a mid-sized real estate franchise for 17 years, Jim earned the first three of his five “Broker of the Year” awards while his company was # 1 in its marketplace.

After selling his brokerage in 2015, Jim Berns became Broker of Record for a Mega Brokerage of over 500 agents in 7 offices located in 2 counties leading that company to become California's fastest growing company in 2016. Following that growth, Jim’s interactive/firsthand approach with his agents helped to earn Jim his fourth and fifth “Broker of the Year” awards.
