About Jim
As a Realtor licensed in DC, VA and MD, Jim will work with you to successfully and smoothly close your deal as you buy and sell real estate, while at the same time share with you how to make your property as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible. Jim is patient, honest and effective, and he takes pride in being an effective communicator who truly listens to his clients’ needs.
Before joining Long & Foster, Jim was the Executive Director, and a subsequent member of the Board of Directors, of the Anacostia Watershed Society, a local, non-profit environmental organization that is working to restore the urban Anacostia River. This experience gave him an intimate knowledge of the civic workings of the local communities in our metro region, and extensive insight into how we can all make a positive impact on the health of our region through our land practices. His real estate practice has helped him deepen the negotiation and consensus building skills he developed early on in his career.
Jim has been a resident of the DC metropolitan area since 1991 and he takes pride in, and actively supports, his community. He is involved with Capital Rowing Club on the Anacostia River, as well as the Anacostia Community Boathouse Association. Additionally, Jim is an ongoing supporter of Anacostia Watershed Society, Green America, WAMU radio and Children's National Medical Center. When you decide to work with Jim, you can expect top quality service, commitment, and dedication to finding the best solution to your real estate needs.
