Jim Getty was born in Norfolk, Virginia and his parents moved to Richmond one year later, where Jim Getty has resided ever since, thus, just about a 'life-long Richmonder'! Jim Getty grew-up in the Westend and graduated from the University of Richmond and its E. Claiborne Robins School of Business, majoring in Finance. Jim Getty enjoys the outdoors, actively hiking, biking, down-hill skiing and, most passionately, golfing, which included being on his high school and UR golf teams as well as participating in local, regional and national golf tournaments over the years.
Jim Getty has been involved in various aspects of real estate and been a Realtor for over 25 years, all here in Richmond. His background includes many years in commercial banking, primarily Commercial & Residential real estate lending, thus, Jim Getty brings a true business and professional aspect to my current realtor business that he believes is unique. Jim Getty specializes primarily in the City of Richmond, Henrico County/Westend and Chesterfield County, though he has sold houses in most all areas and prides himself on knowing the market and being able to get up to speed on any outlying areas when needed. Further, Jim Getty is very hands-on and am totally involved from start to finish in each purchase or sale.
