I spent 31 years specializing in commercial real estate in the Washington, DC Metro area. I loved what I did. For the most part. ?? I leased retail properties, including large shopping centers, urban mixed-use storefronts and freestanding restaurants. I was the guy you reached if you had a great idea for a retail or restaurant business, and called the number on the For Lease sign.

It was a never-ending whirlwind of fun. Meeting the heads of real estate for Gap or Home Depot was kinda cool. But interacting with dynamic entrepreneurs who ran locally-owned businesses—or had aspirations to do so—was WAY better.

Eventually I wanted a switch from a brutally competitive business…to another brutally competitive business. ?? I focus on the techy and organizational stuff, Kim does the empathy and understanding exponentially better.

My passions include running and fitness, technology, and reading fiction and memoirs. I’m a bonafide soccer fanatic and catch all of Liverpool Football Club's matches with my fellow hooligans at Over The Horizon in downtown Charleston.
