I am a native Chattanoogan. After attending UT- Chattanooga for both undergraduate and graduate degrees, I earned a law degree at the University of Cincinnati. After practicing as a tax attorney in Cincinnati for a few years, I returned to Chattanooga where I have taught as the Judith Finley Stone Alliance Professor of Accounting in the Rollins College of Business at UT-Chattanooga for over 27 years. I am a licensed CPA and Rule 31 civil mediator in Tennessee and an attorney in Ohio. I have years of experience in estate planning, and have taught courses in estate and gift taxation and accounting for over years at UTC.
Because of my interests in various properties in and around Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama, the changing implications of the tax law and my love of working with people, I decided real estate would be an excellent way to combine these interests.
I am Past President of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance, Chair of the Finance Council at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Treasurer of Legal Aid of East Tennessee, and I coordinate the Ladies of Black Creek Book Club. When I am not working, I love cooking, travelling, reading (at least 60 books per year), following Alabama football, spoiling our rescue pups Ella & Red and spending time with my husband, Tony Grossi.
