After graduating from Boston University with a degree in Business Administration and earning her builder’s license, JoAnn spent the first 20 years of her distinguished career leading marketing and sales for Olympic Construction, Inc., a renowned contractor in Merrimack Valley that was owned by her late father, builder/developer Anastasios “Arthur” Kalogianis. With Arthur at the helm of project development and JoAnn joining the company to lead the construction operation, the two worked together in a close partnership, enabling the firm to successfully build and sell over 1,000 homes.

A breast cancer survivor since age 31, a working mother of three – and one of only a few women in the early 90’s to attain a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor license - JoAnn redefines what it means to be determined. Whether it’s protecting the best interests of a home buyer, navigating permits for a commercial property or locating “off-market” properties for developers and investors, JoAnn perseveres where other agents would simply give up. Exceeding expectations at every stage of the process, JoAnn’s integrity, responsiveness, and determination are characteristics that keep her clients coming back to work with her time and time again.

JoAnn married her husband Demetrius Spaneas in 2015, which was an incredibly special event, as her terminally ill father Arthur – who she had taken some time off from her career to care for – was able to attend before he passed away that same year. Both JoAnn and Demetrius are active members of their community, volunteering for multiple non-profit organizations. JoAnn served as a board member at Ironstone Farm of Andover. In addition, JoAnn is a member of The Rotary Club of Andover, and is a member of the Board of The Andover Garden Club; she volunteers with Bright Pink; was a member of The Pike School Alumni Council and Facilities Committee; and trained her Canine Good Citizen Certified Golden Retriever to be a Therapy Dog to support children in hospitals and patients in hospice care.
