About John
Originally from upstate New York, John moved
to the Lowcountry in 1985 to attend the College of Charleston. After
graduating with a business degree in 1988, he worked in various sales
positions before starting his own printing and marketing company – Direct
Marketers of Charleston. What started as a home-based side business for
John and his wife Diane, grew into a full-scale print and mail shop with a
storefront and 12 employees.
After more than 20 years in the printing/direct mail industry, they sold
their company to a local printer and John’s transition into real estate
began. Helping other businesses with their advertising needs was something
John always enjoyed. “The thing I loved about owning Direct Marketers of
Charleston was helping small businesses with their advertising needs. It
was great to meet with a business owner, listen to their challenges and
then come up with a plan to achieve their goals. Working with customers in
real estate is quite similar.”
Real estate was in John’s blood at an early age. His parents owned several
properties and he was responsible at a young age for helping with the
upkeep. Now recognizing that buying and selling a property can be a
stressful process, John works diligently to arm his buyers and sellers
with knowledge and market insight. “Being prepared when confronted with a
big decision is invaluable to make the right choice and feel good about
it.”
With a client’s best interest at heart, John not only represents his
buyers and sellers to the best of his ability, but guides them every step
of the way.
