Having lived in the North, East, & Northeast quadrants of Atlanta since 1988, John Powell possesses a broad knowledge of Atlanta's communities and neighborhoods beyond that of most agents. He feels that the most critical element of home selection is a good fit between the buyer and the community. Using his analytical skills from years in the IT business, John has been able to create a unique approach to real estate. He models his approach on professional assessments of his clients' needs along with a high level of customer service. John focuses on providing his clients with extensive documentation on price points, neighborhood data, and school statistics, as well as consultation on financing, renovation and design. By focusing on Sales, Property Management, and Property development including design and renovation, John has negotiated contracts for a broad client base of individuals, local builders and investors from across the Atlanta market, the US, as well as Europe and Australia.

During the 2008-13 housing crisis, John worked with various lenders to aid their company's growing need to market and sell foreclosed homes. Adding the Real Estate Owned (REO) segment to his portfolio benefited John's existing high-volume sales efforts in a struggling market. The relationships John developed with World Savings Bank, Wells Fargo and Bank of America expanded his market knowledge, listings, and sales success to 9 metro Atlanta counties and hundreds of transactions.
