It is with great pleasure we write this review on John Scarpa Re/Max Lincoln Park.
John recently represented our family in the sale of our home in Lincoln Park. John was always extremely Professional, Experienced and throughout the transaction ensured our interest and objectives remained in focus. John did a great job in assessing the market, evaluating the timing to market. Furthermore, the marketing of the property through the many Re/Max channels we very broad and the open houses that were well prepped and the execution that was outstanding.
We appreciated more than anything the way John was always paying attention to all the details and his communication skills and responsiveness that were always prompt with clarity on the action required. John further demonstrated his professionalism with his peers and always presented our positions as fair and firm when required.
We highly recommend John Scarpa from Re/Max Lincoln Park on either the sell or buy side of your real estate transactions.

John was an outstanding realtor, I wish I had found him two years earlier! He has the depth of experience, and his network of related professionals , is able to handle the entire process of finding a property, connecting clients to lawyers, financiers, architects, general contractors, and knows the different villages in the Chicagoland area. I definitely will use him again when we decide to sell the property we just bought and move to our retirement location. John knows his profession very well, nothing stops his determination. John is absolutely fantastic to work with; he went above and beyond to make the process of buying and selling very easy and relaxing during this crazy market time. He listened to us and put our priorities as number one. He made himself available at all times (even late at night) to answer every question we had. It’s like having a friend on the “insider” that is working for you. He cares about his clients and has the knowledge and experience to help make an informed decision to get you into the right house. I definitely will ask him to provide his services on our next buy/sell.

If you think you are paying too much for realtor commission, John will change your mind. He is not like typical brokers who disappear right after you sign a listing agreement. He doesn't limit his responsibilities and is determined to sell at the best price and desirable terms.

Selling my home had a lot of obstacles but John overworked and excelled. He negotiated the highest price and terms with buyers. He modified and put those terms in the contract. He reached out to a difficult property management and quickened loan process.

I highly recommend him for listing any properties but especially when you are selling unique properties or high priced properties with obstacles.

John helped me buy and sell condos, both in Edgewater. I lived in the place we sold for 10 years so I had little memory of what was needed to go through the process, but John was there every step of the way. The lender, home inspector, and legal teams he recommended were all responsive, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. This helped make the usual stresses of buying/selling easier to navigate. Things moved quickly on my end as I found a place I really wanted early on. John’s knowledge of the area and negotiating recommendations helped ensure I got the new home I wanted. I can easily recommend him with full confidence for anywhere in the Chicagoland area and beyond.

I am Real Estate Developer with more than 20+ years experience on buying and selling properties. Through out these years I have worked with hundreds of real estate agents. So far, just a handful of agents I can consider to be great professionals, service/client oriented, knowledgeable and most important with great attitude delivering above expectations. John is one of those unique agents, that know what they do, service is excellent and his attitude is amazing. Our deal was not a common one, starting with the fact that good part of the deal was conducted miles away. I was in San Antonio while John from Chicago was able to conduct all the closing process. Regardless the day and time, John always provided us with the right answer and support and believe me when I say any day, any time, I one of those who sends emails quite late or early in the morning, guess what, John was always there. If what you are really looking for is a an excellent real estate agent, then John is your answer. Thanks John for your excellent job.

I was thinking about selling my home "by owner" to save on realtor fees, but on the recommendation of a friend I decided to work with John instead. I am so glad I did. I definitely came out money ahead because I had John's expert guidance on pricing and on determining which improvements were and weren't worth making before listing. And as others have said, John's professionalism and responsive communication make him a real pleasure to work with.

From the initial consultation to find out what we wanted in a home to the final stages of closing, John was informative, responsive and just a really great person to spend lots of our weekends with this summer.

You can tell John has a natural interest and passion for real estate. He walked into every showing and got right to work, inspecting things big and small, getting into tight closets under staircases and teaching us his findings along the way. This was huge for us as we were first time home buyers. He was also able to give us recommendations for a local attorney.

We can't wait to use John's services in the future when we plan to buy/sell again.

John helped me with my first home purchase. As a new buyer I was very nervous about the process and what to expect. John walked me through each step and put me at ease. I had a lot of questions since this has been the largest purchase I have ever made and John was always helpful and responsive. I was impressed with his knowledge and felt confident that he would do his absolute best to get me the best deal. I was able to get my condo for several thousand less than asking price and he also had a great list of resources for lenders, real estate attorneys, and inspectors. John made the process painless and I have happily referred many people to him since buying my condo. Thanks John for making a stressful event much easier!

Working with John was an excellent experience from start to finish. He is very professional, knowledgeable about the market and always fully prepared. In my situation it was even more challenging than usual because I needed to move out of the country while my property was still on the market and I didn't hesitate for the second to trust John with handling it all and keeping my interests at the forefront. John delivered on this flawlessly and guided me remotely to the successful closing.
