Jon was born in Toronto, Ontario, and moved to Michigan with his family in 1979. Though he’s spent the majority of his life in the U.S., Jon’s Canadian roots continue to influence his perspective, blending a unique mix of cultural and business insight into everything he does. He graduated from Curry College in Boston, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Multimedia Marketing, laying the foundation for his dynamic career.
Jon’s professional journey took a pivotal turn when he joined Austin Relocation in early 2007. Over the years, his leadership and vision propelled him to the role of Chief Executive Officer, where he later took ownership of the company and earned his broker license. Under his guidance, Austin Relocation has become a trusted partner for corporate relocation services across the United States. Jon holds several prestigious designations, including the CRP® (Certified Relocation Professional), and he’s an active member of both the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors and the Employee Relocation Council (ERC).
Jon is also an Associate Broker at ReMax United, where his expertise in real estate continues to be recognized. In both 2023 and 2024, he was named a Real Estate All-Star by Grand Rapids Magazine, a testament to his dedication to excellence in the industry. His ability to navigate the complexities of corporate relocation and residential real estate has made him a standout figure in the local business community.
Outside of his professional life, Jon is a dedicated family man, living in Rockford, Michigan, with his wife, Donielle, and their two grown sons. A lover of golf, cars, and car racing, Jon’s passion for these activities fuels his adventurous spirit. He’s also a collector and enthusiast of pinball machines, always looking for ways to combine his professional drive with personal enjoyment.
