Joseph Owens

Joe Owens is a First Vice President Investments with Marcus & Millichap in Oakland. Joe specializes in the analysis, marketing and sale of multifamily investment properties and works with existing buildings as well as development sites for ground up construction throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California.

Joe has more than 18 years of experience with owners, investors and developers of multifamily real estate. Joe has worked on projects such as TOD development sites for ground up construction of multifamily as well as acquisitions and dispositions of multifamily assets for both private capital clients as well as institutional capital investors.

Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Joe worked at Jones Lang LaSalle and Colliers International. Joe's transaction record totals more than $875 million in multifamily properties working with private capital clients as well as a significant amount of bank REO departments during the 2008 recession. Before his time at Colliers, Joe learned the multifamily brokerage business at the San Francisco office of Marcus & Millichap where he covered the East Bay multifamily market.
