It became official! We no longer live in St. Joseph, MI. Last night we said a final goodbye to our house on Tanglewood Trail. She’s a wonderful house. So many amazing memories. All the kids are moved out on their own. It’s now time for Angel and I to start a new adventure.

Let me tell you about our Angel of a Realtor, Joy. She came to us years ago and said if we ever want to sell our house to let her know. She was always there with kind words of encouragement. We tried to sell our house before with a different realtor and it wasn’t a good experience at all. This time we said "we are calling Joy."

She came in like a breath of fresh air. She heard our concerns and showed us there was nothing to worry about. Joy goes not the extra mile, but 100 extra miles. She pays for the stagers herself because she believes it’s important and makes a difference. She stayed and held our hands through the entire process.

Joy sold our house in less than a week to a beautiful new family. When we decided to look outside of her area she had her friend step in and help us. Her friend is amazing too! That comes Thursday 😁. Thanks Joy for helping us start this next amazing chapter of our lives!!

We had a good experience with Joy Schwarting as our Realtor, she was active and stayed in contact with us start to finish. When we had questions, Joy either had an answer or found the answer quickly. Our house was in good condition, but the staging and photography made it look even better. Joy encouraged us to get ready for the listing and then showings for a particular weekend and it paid-off. Have Joy Schwarting sell your home- we closed in 28 days! We had many potential buyers right away and an offer for full price in just 4 days because of the work she did! Best of all she told us that she would take care of everything and she did. She did it all, studied our area so our home was perfectly priced, had a professional stager come in and set everything up, and hired a photographer to take beautiful interior photos, even aerial photos, so buyers could understand the close proximity to Paw Paw Lake. Joy handled all the negotiations professionally and is also an incredibly kind and thoughtful person. I bought another house from her early 2024 and she was terrific to work with as a buyer too. I highly recommend her for buying and selling your home. A Rating!
From 2024 purchase: Joy was terrific- I absolutely would be thrilled to work with her again! I came away from this with the understanding that Joy's top priority isn't just a quick buck, her priority is the people. She constantly worked to take care of my needs and continues to help me find folks who specialize in particular repairs and other support for my home. I haven't bought a house before, needed a fixer-upper and someone to explain all the details of each step to me and she did it every step of the way. After finding the house I wanted she walked me through the inspection processes to make sure I wasn't going to get in over my head. She worked with the seller so I could have access whenever I needed, let me take my time at every visit, negotiated with the seller, and answered every question I had. Joy made the entire house buying process smooth and easy. A++++!

Joy was a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional in all ways. Joy sold a home I owned in a state I don’t live in. The property had location and views but the house on it was a mess primarily due to previous tenants mistreatment of it. Joy had the house and grounds cleaned, previous tenants garbage and abuse removed and repaired respectively and then showed it as best she could. Joy did all the above as I was out of state and could not. She then arranged for an out of state title person to come and guide my wife and I thru the closing paperwork and attended the closing on her end. Joy is the best realtor I've ever worked with. She is very knowledgeable about the area and her record as a top realtor is well earned with her extensive understanding and expertise in the real estate market. She is incredibly proactive and responsive. I live out of state and had a rental property to sell. She took over the reins from my property manager immediately to list my condo. I had comps etc. even before we officially signed the paperwork to list with her. She helped price the condo competitively and get it listed within a week with being staged and photographed. It sold within a weekend with multiple offers. She helped get the property sale ready by giving suggestions of minimal work to be done, and by providing local contacts to work with who were trustworthy. She was hands on and helped me work through any complications that arose. I can't say enough about how supportive, and helpful Joy was during the negotiations. It was evident that she had my best interest in mind. I'd known of Joy through friends of mine who sold their house through her years ago. I'd kept in touch with Joy and asked for advice over the years on whether to sell or keep renting while I was between property managers. She always gave unbiased feedback. My husband and I started looking for a home in September and Joy was randomly selected via a zillow search to be our realtor for the specific house we wanted to tour. We saw a few more homes with her throughout that month and decided we wanted to exclusively work with Joy! She was very patient with us and our kids (1 and 2 years old). Joy was our realtor when we bought our house, and when we sold it, the conversation about "Who should we hire to help us sell it?" took about two seconds and consisted of "Joy."

Joy helped with negotiation and staging and helped us make sure our house looked its best. When I had questions like "Why should we pay the buyer's agent's commission?" she was quick with good, thorough answers that made it easy to understand the changes.

We explained what we wanted to do and that we had a bridge loan. Joy helped us set the price, but In the first couple weeks we didn't get a lot of traffic so I was worried that we had priced it too high. Joy encouraged us to stay the course. We lowered the price a little bit and I was anxious and worried that maybe we should lower the price more, but we decided to trust Joy.

We got an offer for our asking price at right around the thirty day mark.

I'm confident we would've gotten tens of thousands less for our home if I had not decided to "LISTEN TO JOY, SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING." I'm so very glad we trusted Joy to help us sell our house, and if I had it to do over again in her market. I would absolutely hire her again.

My wife and I found that Joy Schwarting was an excellent professional seller realtor, and buyer realtor.

She found the best price we could get by objectively comparing similar houses. Thus, we could get a higher price than the other suggested.

She was a great communicator. She always answered all kinds of questions with supporting data.

She was fun to work with. Any time she called, good news came: brighter ways to close quickly, get ready to show the house nicely and find someone who could clean all around the house, inside and out, with a great deal.

Speed and courage were her strengths. She completed every process quickly and did not hesitate to overcome any obstacles. She eventually found a cash buyer. Thus, we closed far earlier than we expected.

She knew the market trend, and with her thorough knowledge, she courageously started at the highest possible price to see if there were any interests.

Surprisingly, her insights found many buyers. Then, among them, she had the intuitive wisdom to select the best possible buyer who wanted our home. Therefore, she will become an excellent buyer realtor to the buyer. Of course, at the same time, she was a fantastic, grateful seller realtor to us.
