After many years as both a new-development marketing specialist and an independent real estate broker, everyone from first-time buyers to seasoned investors seek Julie Zelman's real estate advice. She has been quoted in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Observer, and The Real Deal and has been featured in The New York Times multiple times.
Julie got her start in real estate when, as a celebrity personal assistant, one of her job requirements was finding her boss an apartment. Unfortunately for her boss, Julie discovered her true passion and soon after, entered the real estate world. After an impressive start at Halstead Properties where she became both a member of the Producer's Council and Platinum Circle (awarded to the top 20% producers), she found great success working directly for the real estate developers, The World Wide Group, marketing and selling one to five bedroom luxury residences in two of their most coveted high-rise condominiums.
In 2012, with her partner Nataly Rothschild, Julie founded Rothschild Realty Associates, LLC., a boutique real estate brokerage firm, specializing in the sale of high-end residential coops and condos. Three years later, Julie and Nataly helped launch the European power brokerage, Engel and Völkers into the New York City marketplace, where they continue to thrive as The Rothschild Team.
Julie owns a coop on the Upper East Side. In her spare time, she practices yoga, takes improv classes, plays poker, and spends time in Westport, Ct. During her time as an independent broker, Julie volunteered at Sloan Kettering Pediatrics, and still actively supports charities focused on the prevention and cure of all types of cancer. She holds a BA from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.
