Karen has been successfully closing real estate transactions since graduating from NYU School of Law in 1987. She worked as a commercial real estate attorney for seventeen years before transitioning to become an Associate Broker specializing in residential real estate in 2005.
Karen combines a wealth of knowledge and experience with patience, care, and perseverance. Exceptionally diligent and attentive, she guides her buyers and sellers with sophisticated and thorough market information, deep transactional understanding, the latest technology and marketing channels, and endless moral support. Karen applies the expertise in negotiating that she honed as a lawyer to attain the best results for her clients and draws from her legal experience to identify potential issues to help ensure that transactions are as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Karen’s goal is to help her buyers find the right home in Westchester, and to help her sellers attract the best buyer, all by applying all her knowledge, skills, and experience together with the unparalleled resources of belonging to the Laura Miller Team and Houlihan Lawrence, the number one team in the number one office in Scarsdale.
Karen and her husband, Andy, raised their two daughters (and two dogs) in Scarsdale. Karen’s active involvement in civic activities over the years has given her in-depth knowledge of the community, the different neighborhoods, and the local elementary, middle, and high schools. Karen was President of Scarsdale Synagogue and served on numerous committees and the Boards of the Junior League of Central Westchester, the Old Scarsdale Neighborhood Association, and the Scarsdale League of Women Voters (also serving as co-President one year). Over the years, Karen has been an active volunteer at her Synagogue, the Junior League, and the PTA, was a member of the Scarsdale High School Compact Committee, and co-leader of a brownie troop (of 28 girls!)
Karen lives to spend time with her family and friends. She is a committed volunteer and enjoys book club with her girlfriends, eating out or in with friends, playing golf, canasta, and mah-jong, and walking the dogs, especially with friends.
