Karin O'quinn

Living the life of a ski racing family in Vail, Colorado was a dream come true. Karin first came to Vail for a college spring break in 1984. In 1985, she decided to take a semester off and lived in Vail with her sister who was a schoolteacher at Red Sandstone Elementary School. After attending San Diego State University for a degree in Journalism, Karin moved back to her hometown of Alexandria, Virginia, and worked in Washington, DC for an educational software development company. A business trip to Denver, Colorado brought back the memories of the Town of Vail. She moved back to Colorado to work in software development for Quark, Inc. in Denver. She married (at the Vail Interfaith Chapel), had two girls, and lived in Genesee, Colorado. With a second home in Vail, her kids began to enjoy ski racing. Before long, she was living back in Vail so her kids could attend the Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy.
With her employment at the Town of Avon in the Building and Planning Department, and her fractional sales/timeshare experience at the Wyndham in Avon, she was able to watch through the years as the planning and development of Avon became a reality and as the small town of Vail grew from the 1980s to the Vail Valley it is today.
Being able to share this passion of the Vail Valley with her clients, providing extensive knowledge of the area, and making finding or selling a home a pleasant experience is all part of why Karin became a real estate professional. You can usually find her enjoying life out on the ski slopes, skinning up Meadow Mountain, rafting the Eagle River, biking Vail Pass, hiking the local trails, or attending the fun events of the Vail Valley!
