About Kevin
Kevin Cunningham has a degree in Economics. He has early career experience in Human Resources and twenty years in Network Engineering and Information Technology. How does this path lead one to a career in real estate? Good question! Over the past three decades, in the shadow of his professional career, Kevin Cunningham was buying, remodeling, and selling his own homes. A lover of This Old House and all things HGTV, and a self-described gadget-geek, Kevin Cunningham gobbled up information on building technologies, home automation, design trends, and the qualities that give homes “good bones.” Working with his husband (and his father, who was a professional contractor), they put all that knowledge to work in their own homes over the years, and along the way, Kevin Cunningham became a bit of a real estate nut.
Early in 2018, Kevin Cunningham decided it was time to shift gears professionally, and real estate brokerage was a logical move. His degree in economics? It means that he understands the dollars and cents that make a worthwhile investment decision and can help guide you through the especially important process of buying or selling. His HR backgrounds? It means that he knows people and how to have a good relationship with them, ensuring that you (and the people on the other side of the negotiating table) enjoy a pleasant experience through what can be a stressful time. His 20-year IT career? It means that he knows project management inside and out. When he collaborates with you, he will be listening to all the stakeholders, tracking all the milestones, and making sure you know exactly where your transaction stands at any point in time. And his love of homes and home technologies? It means that he brings a unique perspective to the process of evaluating homes and home improvements.
Kevin Cunningham has called Seattle home for the last 20 years and am lucky to live in a midcentury home in Laurelhurst with his partner, their son, and their Cavapoo named Diesel. Remodeling and home projects are a serious pastime for them, and when not covered in sawdust and drywall, skiing is a family passion. They also enjoy Seattle’s amazing food scene and really enjoy cooking at home for family and friends. His real estate practice is based out of Windermere’s Wedgwood office, and he focuses on Seattle’s northeast neighborhoods like Laurelhurst, Bryant, Ravenna, View Ridge, and Wedgwood.
