About Kristie

Kristie grew up in Elkton, VA and just recently remarried and moved back from Houston, TX. She
received her bachelor’s degree in 2001 from James Madison University in business. She moved to
Florida in 2003 where she worked for a mortgage broker in the secondary market and also obtained
her real estate license. In 2005, she moved to Elizabeth City North Carolina, just across the state
line from Norfolk, VA, where she attended Old Dominion University and completed her Master’s in
Business Administration in 2007. At this time, she started her career with Norfolk Southern and has
18 years experience in sales at the railroad. With this background in sales, she has an in depth
knowledge of professional relationships, contracts and negotiation, among other things. Her
knowledge of the sales process, familiarity with interpersonal communication as well as the fact
that she’s moved more than 40 times throughout her life and also bought and sold four of her own
