Kristin has first-hand knowledge of many of our local neighborhoods and towns, having lived in Westwood, Brentwood, the Miracle Mile, and Hermosa Beach. But when she and her husband bought their house in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Santa Monica more than 20 years ago, she knew she was home. She has raised her children there and deeply involved herself in the community. She has served as PTA President for Grant Elementary School and also served on the Executive Boards for JAMS Middle School and Santa Monica High School, among other positions.
Originally from the Silicon Valley in Northern California, Kristin came south to attend UCLA. After graduating with a degree in Psychology, Kristin joined Macy's management team, ultimately becoming a Store Manager for the downtown LA store. She eventually left the retail world to start a family and was a stay-at-home mother for a number of years. Upon her re-entry into the work force, Kristin managed a company that ran several children's businesses including enrichment centers, toddler programs and summer camps. After six years, she left that position to help create, found, and incorporate The Catherine H. Tuck Foundation, a breast cancer charity that assists patients who are struggling financially due to the rigors of treatment. She ran the organization as Executive Director for the next five years, overseeing all aspects of fundraising and programming. Kristin still volunteers her time as an advisor to the organization.
When Kristin isn't working, you will most likely find her out and about with Douglas, her loving Bernese Mountain Dog (all 130 pounds of him).
