About Laura
Laura has been in Charlotte since 1998. She grew up in St. Albans VT and after graduating from the University of Virginia with a BA in Psychology & Theater, she was off to NYC. As an off-Broadway wardrobe mistress, and costume design assistant, she enjoyed using her degree. However, after a few years in the City, she desired a spot with more of a balance,” a place to expand her career, raise a family and grow old happily.” Charlotte certainly offers that. There are great artistic and musical performances, exciting sports teams to follow, amazing locations for outdoor exploring, top notch restaurants, bars and breweries, great destinations to day trip to and rollerblading around Freedom Park reminded her a bit of Central Park.
Laura enjoys being active and adding value to the lives of those around her. In the past, she has run the Marine Corp marathon, been the coxswain for the UVA crew team and a Girls on the Run coach. These days, as an empty nester (her son, Parker has graduated Flagler and lives in FL) its walking the dog, home improvement projects or early morning workouts with the FIA (Females in Action) ladies. She also enjoyed the 20+ summers when she taught teens about leadership, goal setting, people skills, and group dynamics through Tomorrow’s America Foundation. She leads a ladies bible study and volunteers as a project manager for events at Elevation church.
Laura has been licensed as a North Carolina Broker since 2002 and added her South Carolina license after her journey through breast cancer in 2015. As a full time agent, she is fully focused on her clients. She keeps track of the details and offers solutions. Through the years she has worked as a Broker/Realtor®, home stager, and a closing coordinator. She enjoys putting her creative talents to work to connect people with the best solutions for them, the best local professionals, their new community, and new friends. Laura’s success relies on satisfied clients who have made good investments, love their home and/or peacefully went through the process of selling.
