Seeking a career that would tap Laura’s writing and marketing skills and also offer unlimited potential for success, Laura embarked on her real estate career in early 2002. She was hired by a boutique real estate office in Solana Beach to be the Broker/Owner’s assistant. There, she earned her California real estate sales license and has been selling and buying homes for clients ever since.
Laura is a member in excellent standing with the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors; the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors, where she served on the Board and The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. From Oceanside to the border and La Jolla to Campo, Laura has helped San Diegans sell and buyer over 1/3 Billion Dollars in local real estate.
According to MLS data, since 2003, Laura has sold more homes in La Mesa than any other agent. Important to note: Almost half of her transactions are outside La Mesa; Laura services all San Diego County!
Though hard work and a flair for marketing have provided Laura robust business; the third ingredient - she feels - placing her in the top 2% of agents nationwide and in San Diego County is her philosophy that "good enough" is not good enough.
If that means re-shooting photos because a living room rug was crooked, she goes back, straightens the rug and takes the photos again. It means never leaving appraisals to chance, she attends every appraisal to personally deliver her support for price and to show the appraiser features of the home justifying selling price.
Laura always makes sure her clients are pleased with the sale of their home, thrilled with their purchase of a home and delighted with their relationship with her. The buck always stops with her and no matter what problems arise in a transaction, they are fixed and fixed by Laura.
Her record is flawless: no mediations, no arbitrations, no lawsuits, not even one letter of complaint! In a litigious society and with well over $300,000,000 in sales, this accomplishment speaks volumes about Laura’s integrity and fidelity to her clients. Whenever Laura runs into a past client, it is hugs and “Happy to See You!” (If the client is the huggy type)
Laura is a former editor-in-chief of a Long Beach, CA daily newspaper and graduate of California State University, Long Beach where she earned her BA in Journalism. She has served on the Pacific Southwest Board of Realtors and as Vice Chair on the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors Government Affairs. She is the proud mom of Mack, UCSB graduate; Lainey, SDSU graduate and Milly, UCLA graduate. Mack is a San Diego homeowner and local businessman, Lainey and Milly work on Capitol Hill in D.C.
