Thirteen-year winner of the “BEST IN CLIENT SATISFACTION” award from Seattle Magazine, Leah Applewhite is a full-time Realtor® on Bainbridge Island with over 25 years of experience as a top producing agent. Also in 2022, Leah attained “Legend” status from Five-Star Professional for receiving the award for 10 years and counting, an achievement less than one percent of realtors have earned. At the core of Leah’s business are strong Island Values, long-term community relationships, and a commitment to education, environment, and quality of life. Having traveled extensively and having lived with her children in Europe and across the U.S., Leah possesses a global perspective that aids in her understanding of her client's own unique relocation needs. Additionally, she leverages her educational background and continued interest in marine shorelines to guide her clients through the issues unique to selling and purchasing waterfront properties.
Leah was featured in the Washington RE Magazine, recognizing her as a noteworthy professional to be emulated by her peers. There, she shared that her proven track record is based on continually seeking new opportunities to market her listings in unique, innovative ways, mindfully listening to her clients, and always offering her warm, professional service with integrity and enthusiasm. Her unwavering dedication to her clients has gained her a loyal following of satisfied clients who turn to her move after move, trusting her to guide them through ever-changing market conditions.
Leah is committed to her community and clients–with over $200 million in personal sales, she consistently has been among the top 5 producing agents in her office since 2001, having ranked #1 in 2005 and 2010. Most recently in 2022, the efforts of Leah Applewhite’s team resulted in the office award of #2 Top Producing Team on Bainbridge Island.
Prior to real estate, Leah graduated from Evergreen State College and worked in HAZMAT response with the National Oceanic Atmospheric Admin and spearheaded a non-profit oil spill response cooperative for the San Juan Islands. In addition, she was selected to a Bainbridge Island citizens’ committee for the update of the Master Shoreline Plan, was a founding board member of the Bainbridge Island Wooden Boat Festival, and has been involved in or supported the following organizations: Bainbridge Prepares, Island Caregivers, Madrona Waldorf School, Shoreline Stewards, Beach Naturalists, Safety at Sea Seminars, The Schooner Martha Foundation, and Bloedel Reserve.
Aside from real estate, Leah is also a proud mother of two grown children, a dog lover, and an avid sailor. When she isn’t working on her latest remodeling project or managing her short-term rental property, she is most often enjoying life near the water—walking, kayaking, SUPing or even swimming in the cold waters in Puget Sound.
Whether you are relocating, investing, or just moving next door, Leah would welcome the opportunity to serve your real estate needs.
