Highly regarded as one of the brightest real estate professionals in New Jersey–from sales to rentals, residential to commercial, small transactions to large–few if any can match the 30-year career of Lennard Schwartz-Charles. Transactions such as the 75-acre, $18 million Edgewater Commons land sale that brought the Gold Coast its first major shopping center, to the $13,500,000 sale of a Saddle River mansion–the highest residential sale ever recorded in the New Jersey MLS to Russel and Kimora Simmons, to a prominent music and clothing mogul–show the diversity of his accomplishments.
When times were bad in the early ’90s, Mr. Schwartz-Charles performed workouts with various banks for investors. Roc Harbour, a luxury waterfront townhouse complex, was foreclosed and brought on the market where he successfully sold out the remaining 26 units. The same was done at The Park Regency in Cliffside Park, The Atrium Condominiums in Hackensack, and the remaining Grand Cove townhomes in Edgewater.
In the late ’90s, he took over the Promenade sales office and sold out the project and handled the rentalsat Edgewater Towne Centre for Starwood-Heller. Even more recently, he finalized the more than 20,000 sflease to Classic Athletic Club that will bring the finest fitness center with pool and indoor basketball court to Edgewater. Mr. Schwartz-Charles has sold Fort Lee Plaza twice; leased and created The Dragon Club in Paramus; sold over 14 reputable area restaurants; and represented many developers and investors, including The Barrett Organization at Half Moon Harbour, along with representing individual owners and purchasers.
His professional affiliations include 20 years as a Realtor member of the local Bergen County MLS; President, Commercial Investment Division for the New Jersey Association of Realtors; member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors; and President, Commercial Investment Committee of the Eastern Bergen Board of Realtors, to name a few.
