Growing up, Lidia studied to be a professional pianist at the early age of four. But after 10 years of music school she decided to keep it as a hobby; there were just too many things she was interested in exploring. A strong math student, Lidia graduated with an MBA in Economics and worked in finance. She also completed several diverse marketing projects at a major consulting company in Russia. However, she truly missed the human connection and began work as a social worker, before landing in her present career.
Traveling is one of Lidia's passions, and she has traveled extensively. But once she came to New York City, she was immediately fascinated by it. She marveled at the historical architecture and unbelievable contrasts: charming tree-lined blocks rowed by townhouses, residential high rises, enormous skyscrapers and everything in between.
