About Lisa
Lisa is one of those rare souls who remains committed to her work and uses all her life experiences to bring joy to those she encounters. Her initial degree was in Art History, and out of college, she worked primarily for Architecture firms in their art/graphic departments. From design, she moved into Business Development and then to Finance, again caring for communicating business criteria to designers. Her greatest asset is her ability to translate complex subjects into everyday language. From the world of Financial Management for architects, her interest grew in the real estate market, first as a lender and then in real estate. As a real estate agent, she can blend her previous knowledge and skills to benefit her clients.
Happy, long-term clients are her greatest asset. She takes joy and pride in building more than twenty years of relationships. In 2020, during the pandemic, she helped her second real estate client sell their house 20 years later for the price of their dreams. While Santa Monica will always be close to home, Lisa has helped her clients buy and sell properties all over California: Oakland, Mendocino, Ojai, Ventura, and Oxnard, just to name a few.
To further develop her communication and personal development skills, Lisa graduated from the University of Santa Monica with a master's in Spiritual Psychology plus an additional 3rd year of studies in Consciousness, Health, and Healing. She uses these skills daily throughout real estate transactions and serves needy people. She works with teenagers in the Foster Care System as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). She is an active member of Ignatians West (a community working with the poor and protecting the earth).
With deep roots in Southern California, Lisa's grandfather worked as a sheepherder for Mr. Agoura (Yes, the one that the city is named after him) and annually walked the sheep from Calabasas to Bishop and back again. Her grandparents were married in the Old Plaza Church near Union Station and settled on a ranch as dry farmers living in a hut in the Los Angeles Miracle Mile area. Who would have guessed that years later, their great-granddaughter would find people's homes in the exact location they used to farm?
