Luke Gaskins

William L Gaskins is the General Partner and Founder of TGP Ventures. He has been involved in all phases of the fund’s development.

In early 2010, Mr. Gaskins formed TGP Ventures, as he saw a new change in basic assumptions in the real estate markets. Starting with an initial capital commitment of $100,000, he has grown discretionary assets under management to over $200mm. TGP Ventures portfolio includes physical real estate across all product types and opportunistic trust deeds. Mr. Gaskins has realized steady, double digit returns for his partnerships in twelve consecutive years.

Mr. Gaskins began his career as an analyst at a local San Diego long-short hedge fund – Carmel Capital Partners, LLC. He was engaged principally in equity modeling and research.

After Carmel Capital, Mr. Gaskins went to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Los Angeles, CA. His primary duties were auditing and financial reporting for the worlds’ most influential hedge funds & private-equity funds. His clients included Oaktree Capital Management (AUM – $153 B), Canyon Partners (AUM - $18 B), and Wilshire Associates (AUM – $11 B).

Mr. Gaskins graduated Cum Laude from the University of San Diego (BA – Accounting & Finance). He is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
