In another profession, Marc would probably still be a real “standout” — but in the field of real estate brokerage — he stands head-and-shoulders above the rest. Apparent roadblocks in the closing process present themselves as mere opportunities to him! Your wishlist of the property you would like to move into? He immerses himself in the details with regard to the listings he pores over, to oblige. And “moves mountains” to make that happen for you, and by your tight deadline. Need an attorney? An engineer? A painter? (A neighborhood dentist?) He’s all-purpose! If you want/need/would like someone who takes your real estate needs to heart (yes, he is in that field but has one of those!) — then he’s your guy.

Marc did a great job in helping us find and close a condo in Brooklyn. We got to know him through a mutual acquaintance. Being a local person who live and work in the general Brooklyn areas, he was able to provide useful insights that helped us narrowed down the choices that finally led to the property we were happy with.

Working with Marc, I found him to be one of the most genuine and kind human beings I have had the pleasure of meeting. When I was living in NY he helped me find my first rental in brooklyn and brokered a deal that literally had my jaw on the floor as well as teaching me so much about the ins and outs of renting as well as walking me through some complicated financials. When It was time for me to buy, We didn't hesitate, Marc was my guy. He ended up finding me a home I loved and lived in for almost 11 years. When it was time for me to move on, he was yet again the first one I called. Through the years he has not only become my go to with any NY real estate, I have the pleasure of calling him a friend. When I had to make the move from NY to Chicago and move back to my home town he went out of his way to find me someone I trust equally here in Chicago. Never a stranger, I know I will maintain a relationship with him for years to come and it has truly been a pleasure to know him all these years. I would recommend him and have recommended him to many any time I need a NYC broker. You would be lucky to work with him.

Marc helped us find our first apartment in New York during the height of COVID! We were living outside the US with a brutal time difference, and Marc was kind enough to coordinate with us over video calls to show us around the apartment countless times. We had never stepped foot in the apartment, but with Marc, it was like some family member had approved the place for us.

He walked us through the entire application process, represented us in front of other tenants, vouched for us with landlords and even negotiated rent with us on a phone call! Overall, he couldn't have been a better person to work with.

Marc Solomon was one of the lead brokers handling the sale of our meeting house at 53 Prospect Park West. 53 is a unique, historic landmarked property and Marc diligently insured that all aspects of the sale were handled carefully and thoroughly. Marc, was both very helpful and responsive when I listed my property for sale in May / June 2022. He scheduled numerous open houses and separate individual showings. He also worked well with in-house tenants who were not that cooperative with the whole procedure, working around their requests while keeping my interests in focus. Although I ended up not accepting offers that were received, it was certainly not due to any lack of effort by Marc and his team. I feel that he gave me the individualized attention that I needed throughout this process.
In the end, I agreed with his thoughts that we missed the best sales time for a property like mine by four months or so.

Marc [COMPASS] is the Broker you wish you’d had, for any prior real estate transaction.
He is (and continues to be) what other RE agents are not: thorough, insightful (he “hears” even what you are not saying, in your RE selection process — I.e., with his years of honed experience, he reads between the lines, does not bother you with inappropriate listings that do not fit the bill for you. He acts timely, efficiently — does not leave you hanging, gets back to you, accommodates your needs in the process…. Recommend people choose him (but not at the time when I will be needing his services again!).
