Marcus has been a resident of Oregon for his entire life. His family owned a bowling center in Gladstone. Growing up in a customer service-oriented family, Marcus began his joy in helping others. After high school, Marcus joined the Marines, and then transferred to the Navy, where he served on a submarine. After moving back to Oregon, he continued to serve his community, as a volunteer youth coach in bowling.
