Margaret has been amazing from start to finish! We worked with her for several months looking at several homes including 2 new construction home builders. She was constantly available and learned very quickly what we were looking for and found homes that we would enjoy visiting. She also made sure we never felt pressured to make decisions and contextualized all the listings for us, helping us understand the local market conditions in Suffolk.

Then, once we selected a new construction home she was there for us every step of the way. She gave us a lot of peace of mind with her expertise and experience, she also cleared up a last minute issue between the lender, settlement attorney, and title insurance company for us while we were away on vacation. She stayed on top of the seller during the process of getting our contract sent back and forth. Because of the nature of new construction we had a longer process than most, yet Margaret stayed meticulous, detail-oriented, and advocated on our behalf to the seller, lender, settlement attorneys, and home inspector. She monitored their responsiveness and also followed up with additional prompts when needed to shepherd the process to the finish-line.

We closed a few days ago and at closing and walk-through she was indispensable in helping us get through our first home purchase like pros. Since closing, she has still sent multiple emails helping us communicate with the inspector, maintenance department, and making sure we are treated right! My wife and I will definitely trust her again for our next real estate transaction in Hampton Roads.

If there were 10 stars Margaret would deserve them!!

We started working with Margaret on likely properties we saw online while being out of state. She coordinated with friends who lived local to the properties we were interested in going to view them. She took additional photos and provided us with a detailed summary of the positives and negatives. She went beyond the usual in looking at and sending us housing plats On one property she even noted a septic tank location that had the potential to be very problematic and expensive to resolve.

She is very knowledgeable of the area and housing issues overall. She is thorough and detail oriented, we came to trust her judgement. She was not aggressive in making a sale if anything she pulled us away from problematic properties and not toward higher costing properties. She told us her primary goal was for people to be happy with their purchase. She met her goal with us.

Margaret is amazing! She effectively and efficiently executed the sale of estate propoerty that was remote for our families. She made everything easy for us! Margaret coordinted activities with the estate sales personnel to ensure that the trnasition from that activity to the home sale was seemless. Her connections to local contractors provided us with highly qualified and responsive professionals who made the necessary repairs/touch ups after having renters in our home for over 6 years. Maraget did an amazing job for my family and I. She was diligent, knowledgeable, took initiative, listened to our needs and did not push a house on us if it didn’t truly suite us. She wasn’t just in it for the money like a lot of realtors I know, but she actually cared that we got what was best for our family. Margaret Richardson Team was great to work with and we would highly recommend them. When we started the process of prepping for the sale of our home it was just before the COVID-19 situation. Margaret came by and walked through the house and had a very good eye on how to prep the home for sale. As we moved closer to the target date to put our house on the market things turned much more serious with the virus situation. We really did not know which way things would go. Margaret and Rudy were excellent with communicating with us, making sure all stayed safe, and adapting the business practices. Our home was under contract in 4 days and we closed on the anticipated day. We are very grateful for their hard work!

Last year, at the start of the pandemic, we decided to sell our home. Knowing Margaret Richardson as a professional realtor, we sought her advice as to what we needed to do to get our house ready for the market. She advised us, in her kind and caring manner, with realistic suggestions to make our home more attractive to the buyers’ market. Margaret is a very knowledgeable and professional realtor. She went above and beyond in helping through a difficult relocation during the COVID crisis. She visited several homes and provided many additional photos and most importantly, honest detailed feedback on each. This was especially important to us since we were unable to travel and personally view these properties. This helped us find a nice home in an extremely limited home market. This was our fifth home purchase and by far the easiest and smoothest. She arranged our closing and attended to two inspections since we could not be on site due to travel restrictions.
