I became a licensed REALTOR in 2000 just before 9/11 and learned quickly how fast an industry can change literally overnight. In my 24 years of being in real estate not only have I represented buyers and sellers, but I have bought and renovated numerous personal and investment properties. We have rental properties in 2 different states in 3 different cities and have 3 projects currently underway. I am also a member of KCREA (Kentucky Commercial Real Estate Alliance which assists my investor and commercial clients. I am also a member of KREIA (Kentucky Real Estate Investor Association) where I am able to learn and network with other investors and contractors. This helps me have a robust vendor contact list as well as learn from my fellow investors.

I have a history in health insurance and transferred from Green Bay Wisconsin with Humana in 1996. So I understand how relocation families feel during a big move! My positions included claims processor, benefit analyst, supervisor, and Senior Auditor. I hold numerous designations and certifications in health insurance. After leaving Humana in 2004 we founded and currently own & operate Margaret's Moving & Storage. I stepped back from active real estate to build it to the 2nd largest moving company in Kentucky running 10-12 crews and 45 employees per day. We did continue to grow our rental portfolio to include short term (Airbnb) and long term tenants. I hold numbers certifications and designations in logistics as well as receiving numerous awards both company and individual. Having first hand experience in leasing commercial property, I can help my commercial clients navigate not only purchases, but leasing real estate.

Normally about now, people tell you what they do when they are not working in their respective field. It usually involves something OUTSIDE of their field. I would have to tell you that I love going to open houses when I am not holding one. I love to go to dinner with some of my best friends, who are also in real estate. I love spending time with my husband while we renovate a home. I love hosting First Time Home Buyer seminars. I love going to Home Depot or Floor & Decor and picking out tile. I attend Habitat For Humanity workshops to learn about programs that help my clients. I attend various investor group meetings throughout the region to include NexGen. I also volunteer as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and with Louisville Urban League. We also participate with Toys for Tots providing their logistics.
