I would like to thank my neighbor and friend, Marian Tankersley for helping us refinance our house back in February 2010. We had purchased our home about 3 years ago. We were trying to take advantage of the lower interest rates. However with home values declining, we were not sure if we would qualify because we knew we were on the borderline with our home value. I decided to ask Marian for her thoughts on what we should do. She was very helpful with suggestions and explaining the process. She did an analysis of the homes that sold in the ares so we could get an idea of what our own home would appraise for. Marian gave me the paperwork and advised Show your home like you're going to sell it and make nice with your appraiser. So when the appraiser was in our house, I mentioned that our real estate neighbor agent had helped us and came up with this analysis of local home sales. The appraiser was interested and I ended up giving the the paperwork that Marian had prepared. Well our refinance when through for a lower interest rate.
