Biography
Marie C. Anthony is a native of Columbus and a thirty-two-year veteran of both Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball for the Ohio High School Athletic Association, including Boys and Girls Regional and State Tournaments. Her career has included prestigious refereeing among the Women’s Big Ten, Mid-American Conferences, as well as Division I, II, III Collegiate Basketball Tournaments, and Men ‘s Collegiate; as well as the opportunity to officiate an International Contest. Marie also worked the Boys Division II State Finals in 2003 with LeBron James.
Marie is Past President of three Associations: the HUB of Ohio Basketball Officials Association, the Ohio Association of Basketball Officials (OABO), and the Central Ohio Basketball Officials Association (COBOA). She is the only Female Past President of OABO and COBOA. Marie is also the only official who has served as President of all three Associations and was honored as the 2000 National Federation Official of the Year for both Boys and Girls.
She keeps on top of her officiating responsibilities having attended numerous officiating camps throughout her career and serving on several High School and College committees. When not officiating, Marie practices her strength regimen and cardiovascular development with her Personal Trainer. She is also very active in tennis, swimming, walking, water skiing, etc.
The Mother of 23-year-old Marissa, Marie is a professional in the Real Estate and Jewelry Industries. Marie has been in the Real Estate industry for the past 17 years. She began her career with two REMAX offices and is with Trembly Realty in Arlington presently while she is obtaining her Broker’s License. She specializes in offering personal service in commercial and residential Real Estate.
Marie has been in the Wholesale and Retail Jewelry business for the past 35 years. She has been a designer, and Marie’s personal goal is to provide clients with exceptional product value, as well as an enriching and unforgettable buying experience.
