Before entering the real estate industry, Kim studied Business Economics and then worked her way up to Corporate Director of Marketing & Public Relations for The Freeman Companies which included several business channels in their private company. Kim spent 5 years serving her community of Montgomery County MD as the Executive Director at Manna Food Center, the food bank and largest food pantry serving the county. Kim led the effort to raise the funds needed to purchase a new fleet of refrigerated trucks for Manna. She identified a significant gap in the nutritional needs for the people they served and sought out resources to provide access to fresh and sustainable sources for Manna. Kim developed a Farm to Food Bank program and a Farmer's Markets program which provided access and awareness about the need for the community to donate fresh and healthy food to Manna. This nutrition driven idea became set a new standard for what food banks could and should strive to provide and has become a national model for other food banks across the country.
