About Mark
Mark Becker’s unique background brings an extensive array of skills and experience that benefit his clients in many ways. Prior to establishing BR Residential, Becker spent two decades in senior marketing and fundraising roles with Chicago-area nonprofits. In these capacities, he developed a keen ability to understand market positioning, branding, and targeted outreach. “One size does not fit all,” says Becker, “each organization required an individualized approach, just like every real estate client requires individualized attention and unique strategies based on their goals.
As a lifelong Chicagoan, Mark has extensive personal experience in buying, renovating and selling a variety of properties. With an eye on every detail and attention to the bottom line, he brings this knowledge and experience to his clients to help them best prepare their homes for the market, so they look their best, sell quickly, and achieve the highest returns.
Mark has established a well-rounded client base, working with sellers, buyers, investors and relocation clients on properties ranging from single-family homes to condominiums within the Chicago market. Because of his prior experience in the nonprofit sector, Mark was also asked to lead the charitable foundation at his previous brokerage. In this role he defined their mission; partnered with an innovative nonprofit, New Story, and raised the necessary funds to begin building a community of homes in Morelos, Mexico for families in need. “It’s the perfect blending of my personal and professional passions. I believe in every endeavor we should focus on what we can give back,” he says. “I am thrilled that Compass has a strong commitment to charitable giving through Compass Cares."
