About Mark

Born in Bergen County, New Jersey and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, Mark is a proud native of the New York Tri-State area.

After graduating from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in English, Mark worked his way up from sales to management positions at ChemPoint, where he helped the technology-savvy chemical distributor grow from $48 million to $325 million in 11 years.

Mark grew an appreciation for the Lowcountry through regular visits over 15 years to see his wife's family, which inspired him to work with his father-in-law, Tom Tolpa, at The Ocean Broker. His curiosity for understanding client needs, creative marketing ideas, and positive enthusiasm make him a welcome addition to the company. Backed up by The Ocean Broker's 40 years of success, his new outlook offers a breath of fresh air to the buying and selling process. When he is not at work, Mark is playing jazz guitar, reading mysteries, or taking care of his two daughters at his home in Old Town Bluffton.
