Mark is a third-generation real estate broker who has cultivated a deep passion for the industry. His career began at a competing company where his father once worked. Mark initially volunteered as an assistant and buyer’s agent under a local top producer, gaining invaluable mentorship. Driven by a desire to be more than just a successful salesperson, he immersed himself in every aspect of the business, from selling homes to delivering flyers and digging sign posts.
To support himself financially during the early years of his real estate career, Mark worked evenings as a forklift driver for a year and a half. However, as his sales began to exceed expectations, he quickly became a standout agent, eventually partnering with his mentor to form Leigh & Johnson Real Estate Marketing Group. Together, they surpassed $43 million in sales annually, with an average of over $30 million per year. Their success led to the purchase of a Windermere franchise, marking a full-circle moment for Mark, as he became the owner of a franchise from the same company that had employed his father.
Highly driven and goal-oriented, Mark has always been focused on achieving his aspirations. By age 25, he became a designated broker, and by 30, he had realized his dream of owning a national franchise. He opened his own office with a staff of more than 30 agents. However, through this experience, Mark came to realize that not every goal aligned with his true passion. While franchise ownership had been a personal milestone, it wasn't where his heart truly lay.
In 2014, Mark returned to his core passion—development, sales, and client relationships—when he joined Keller Williams Tacoma, part of the largest real estate company in the world. This move allowed him to refocus on building relationships with his clients and pursuing the career path that he truly loves. Mark continues to thrive in real estate, bringing his experience, drive, and passion to every project he undertakes.
