A Charleston native, Mark attended The Porter Gaud School and then The College of Charleston where he graduated with a bachelor’s in Business Administration. After college Mark worked at the renowned Ness, Motley law firm before beginning a career in commercial real estate. In 2005 he started as an Agent with The Sadler Group in Charleston, the state’s oldest commercial real estate firm founded in 1893. By 2008 Mark was a licensed Broker and had earned the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 2010. In 2015, Mark joined Birchin Lane Realty Advisors as a Principal where he continues property brokerage and development. Mark’s primary focus is development brokerage which includes entitlement, value add and vertical development projects. He is well versed in project aspects such as site selection, entitlement, lease up, stabilization and disposition for various asset classes which include office, retail, single and multifamily residential developments. Mark is a multiple time recipient of the CTAR Realtor of Distinction – Commercial Circle Award which recognizes the top 10% of brokers in Charleston for transaction volume and his work had been featured in Commercial Investment Real Estate (CIRE) Magazine on multiple occasions. Mark is a member of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors (CTAR), the Commercial Investment Division (CID), the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Charleston CCIM Chapter.
