Marla Schecter was our agent that just sold our home that we have lived in for the past 38 years. We decided to downsize with less property to take care of in the future and it was a very emotional process. She was very patient with us during this process. She was very friendly, organized and professional. She was extremely polite, patient and explained everything thoroughly. She did a few open houses for us and we were extremely happy to have her as our agent. She came highly recommended from a good friend of mine and I will be recommending Marla to everyone in the future!

It was really a great pleasure to work with this particular group that was recommended to us by a close friend who also worked with them and had nothing to say but just a great compliments and I now know why. We had a wonderful experience working with Marla and her team in our quest to find a home in the North Star area. Marla displayed incredible flexibility and the patience of a saint, taking us on more than 100 showings over the course of a year (many of them last minute).

Being out-of-state buyers, we especially appreciate Marla’s help in navigating not only the current frenzied real-estate market, but one in which many process, rules, and regulations were new to us. Marla supported us in every twist and turn on our house-buying journey. With her guidance, we went through the process of submitting offers a handful of times (it took us a minute to adjust to the crazy market climate), tackled inspection surprises, and potentially sticky contractual matters. The whole way through, we felt that Marla was 100% on our side on every issue. Marla was always available, immediately responsive, and willing to go the extra mile to research our many questions.

Marla helped us find and purchase a wonderful home. As we write this review, over our morning coffee on our back deck with views of an old-growth forest with deer, and fox, and birds that will take us years to identify—we find ourselves extremely grateful to Marla and her team at Patterson Schwartz. Our family was relocating from Long Island, NY to Middletown, DE. We went to a few Open Houses and met realtor, Marla Schechter, at one of them. She was so helpful and gave us some great advice about home buying in DE. After we sold our home in NY, she gave us great advice on finding a short term rental in the area, and worked with us for months until we finally found a home we loved! She’s patient and kind and knowledgeable about her business. If she doesn’t know the answer, she’ll get it for you. She worked with us for over a year! We’ve been here 2 years now, and she still gives us great advice! I’m so thankful we had her as a realtor and now a friend. Patterson-Schwartz is lucky to have a realtor like her working for them!
