When most of her childhood peers were drawing stick figures, Marti Voorheis was drawing floor plans. It just came naturally since Marti moved every three years when her parent’s remodeled or built new houses. As an adult, Marti pursued a career and other interests while raising three children – but never stopped loving houses.
In her early career, Marti worked on multimillion dollar deals at EDS, corporate wellness sales for Bally’s, and interactive distance learning for Westcott Communications. More recently, she built a team of more than 200 people in two and a half years to bring a new product to market.
Marti has lived in Oklahoma, California, Costa Rica and Texas and has traveled extensively. Her children grew up in University Park and Preston Hollow. With deep connections and community ties, Marti and her husband, Paul – both graduates of SMU – are actively involved in many school and community-related activities with their three children. After buying, remodeling, managing and selling a number of properties, Marti realized that her passion for houses and helping people form the perfect intersection.
Having worked extensively on sales processes and negotiating skills, Marti is an initiative-taker with a proven record of leading and exceeding expectations. She is a member of several networking groups, including Pacesetters.
