About Martin

From setting records to achieving my clients’ dreams, there is a way around every obstacle, and Martin is determined to find it. When he sets his mind to something, he does everything in his power to make it happen.

Martin had some incredible moments in his life so far, and each one has shaped him into the person he is today. One of the biggest achievements of his life came in 2012 after years of training and practicing. Martin set an NCAA record for the fastest anyone swam in the world, which stood for over four years. Along with that, he won NCAAs twice. Needless to say, it was a great time in his life when all his hard work paid off in the greatest way imaginable.

Originally from Germany, Martin came to the United States on a student visa when he was just 16 years old. he barely spoke English but was determined to embrace this experience. he was only supposed to be here for a year, but one year turned into two, and before he knew it, he was graduating from high school in the U.S.

It was his high school coach who suggested that Martin stay in the U.S. if I was serious about making the Olympic team. So he went to college, and he ended up swimming for the University of Georgia for four years. That’s where Martin met my wife, Hali, who is also a swimmer. They both competed together, but while he retired from swimming after college, his wife continued on and became a professional athlete competing in the 2016 as well as the 2021 Olympics and winning two medals along the way.

After college, Martin became a swim coach and did that for about seven years. he loved coaching, but the pay was very limiting. As an athlete, he enjoys having opportunities to push himself and grow. When he has unlimited potential, Martin is motivated to continue doing better and better year after year. That’s when he started to become intrigued by real estate.

One of the mothers of the boys he coached was a REALTOR®, and Martin sat down with her one day to find out more about what it takes to become one. She was transparent with Martin and told him it wasn’t going to be easy, but all his experiences had put him in the perfect position to be able to take on this new challenge. He has never been one to quit or give up when things get hard.

While he began studying for his REALTORS® license in Georgia, his wife and he decided to move to Arizona. During the move, they didn’t find the support they had hoped for as they searched for a home to buy. Martin restarted his courses to become licensed in Arizona, more determined than ever to become a REALTOR® and offer the services he had wanted when they were looking for a home.

Once again, Martin was starting fresh in a new area, but he has always enjoyed the sense of adventure that comes with a move like this. he jumped right into real estate and found his experiences, personality, and approach were a huge asset. His client’s goals become his goals, and from there, nothing can stop him from making their dreams a reality. Every problem has a solution, and Martin is determined to reach the finish line with his clients.

Looking back on his journey so far, Martin realizes that nothing worth having comes easy. He has been fortunate to have some amazing mentors and guides along the way. He has learned so much from the people who believed in him and encouraged him. From his parents teaching Martin the values that shaped the way, he treats people, to his coaches who encouraged him and helped Martin push beyond what he thought his limits were, to his wife who not only believes in Martin daily but supports him with all of her energy, it all has brought his here today.

As someone who moved across the world at just 16, Martin has a unique perspective on moving and what it means to find your home. You want a home that meets your needs, but you also want support and a sense of community. Martin became a REALTOR® because he wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. For Martin, it’s all about ensuring that his clients know he has their best interests at heart, and that he is there for them every step of the way.

What Martin loves most about this job is the impact he can make on people’s lives. Buying a house is often the most significant financial investment a person will make, and helping someone achieve that dream feels like an honor. It’s not just about the financial aspect either, although that is important. For many of his clients, owning a home means freedom, space, and security. When you work with Martin, he will do everything in his power to help you achieve your goals and provide you with the information to make the right decision for you and your family.
