Growing up on North Capitol Hill, the neighborhoods south of the Ship Canal, were her backyard. Mary Kay Perrigo’s summers were spent on Whidbey Island, and she worked at her dad’s orthodontic office in Bellevue and later Queen Anne. She ventured north of the Montlake Cut to attend the UW, owned homes in the Bryant and Maple Leaf neighborhoods. Mary Kay Perrigo’s husband and she now live in the Picnic Point neighborhood, twenty-five miles north of Seattle, where their children grew up and attended Mukilteo Schools. Living in so many unique communities give me a broad perspective and appreciation of the benefits each neighborhood in the Puget Sound region has to offer.
