About Matt

Matt Steward brings over 20 years of leadership experience to F.C. Tucker. He has been in the middle of many high stake’s economic development and real estate transactions leading to the creation of thousands of new jobs in Indiana. Much of this work was accomplished as one of the original members of the Indiana economic development corporation and later as a principal of the Steward Carter Group.

Steward has negotiated over $150 million in economic development incentives for businesses expanding or relocating across the United States and is now transitioning these experiences and knowledge to his residential real estate business.

He has a rare and valuable combination of private and public sector government relations, business development, marketing, management, and media relations experience and formal education.

In the public sector arena, Steward has directed marketing and economic development strategies for a governor, served in multiple capacities with one of America's most innovative mayors, managed three statewide political campaigns, served as the public relations director for Indiana's Attorney General and district director for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

In the private sector, Steward has led successful public relations campaigns for America's fourth largest advertising agency and was a founder and equity partner of Steward Carter Group. Steward served as a partner at Westcomm, located in Indianapolis, managing marketing, public relations, government affairs, media relations and finance communications strategies for clients across a wide array of industries that include automotive, energy, life sciences, emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing, transportation/coordination, and commercial real estate.

He has served as CMO at a rapidly growing technology company successfully launching new integrated communications software product/services. Most recently, Steward increased revenues by 80% in two years at an advanced composites structures manufacturer serving many of the largest aerospace companies in the world as VP of sales and marketing.

Steward has successfully created and communicated messages that stick and move people toward desired outcomes for over 20 years. He is now taking those same marketing and sales principals to the residential real estate market where he is focused on his goal of helping thousands of people sell or buy their dream home.
