Matt spent the majority of his youth in Joshua, Tx. After attending Joshua ISD from Kindergarten to graduation, Matt attended UT Arlington where he was accepted into one of the most prestigious athletic training programs in the state! While at UTA, he received his bachelors of science degree and teaching certificate. For over a decade, Matt has served as the head athletic trainer and teacher of sports medicine at a large high school in the DFW metroplex.
Matt has always had an interest in real estate, especially when it comes to the investment side of things. He knows the value of hard work and reliability. Matt’s years of experience as a teacher and athletic trainer have taught him many valuable skills that are vital to real estate such as time management, organization, communication, and how to respond in a difficult, emotional situation. He has learned how to listen well and gently direct those under his care including students, parents, and coaches alike. Having first hand experience with buying and selling, he knows how important yet stressful the experience can be, and how crucial it is to have the right agent on your side.
A family man at his core, Matt spends his down time hanging with his wife and two children. His hobbies include almost anything outdoors…camping, fishing, sports, exercising, traveling, and spending time at the lake! Matt’s creative side led him to try his hand at woodworking, where he creates custom designs and wall decor. Though he lives and works in DFW, Johnson County still feels like home. “I think Johnson County has some of the most genuine people you will ever meet. Though it has grown significantly, the same small town hospitality remains.”
