Maureen Wixom

Maureen was raised in Miami, Florida where she became a competitive Synchronized Swimmer. She competed for ten years as a junior athlete achieving many State Championships. Upon graduation from high school, she moved to Monterey, California where she continued her competitive career as a Senior athlete along with getting my Judges rating and assistant coaching the younger athletes on the team. As the sport grew around the world, Maureen went to Brazil to coach their National Champion and then went to Aruba to prepare and coach their athletes in the 1984 Olympics held in Los Angeles.

She then pursued her other passion which was training and showing Arabian horses throughout California where she ended up meeting her husband, Bill, on the central coast of California. Maureen was fortunate to live on the family ranch where she took care of the commercial avocado orchard and cow/calf operation for the next six years.

From there they went to Alaska for what was to be a short stay and ended up staying for ten years. They worked in the Environmental Field and eventually, for an Alaskan Native Corporation building a national Telecommunications Company. This allowed us to move all around the Western U.S. We were lucky to experience all the wonderful places west of the Rockies. When we discovered the Grand Valley, they knew they found their permanent home.

Maureen has always had a passion for Real Estate and was thrilled to have the opportunity to pursue a career in it. As she has always done, she strives for excellence in whatever she does, and is proud to work for a company like Bray.
