Mechelle has a proven record of $100+ million in closed real estate sales over the past 18 years in the Birmingham and surrounding areas. She is the 2018 President-Elect for The Birmingham Association of Realtors (BAR) MLS Board. She was also named by the BAR ‘Residential Sales Associate of 2016’. She holds a BA in Communications from Samford University and has extensive marketing training from IBM as well as professional experience with both local and national real estate training organizations. With her years of education and work experience, Mechelle endeavors to provide a professional, skilled and enjoyable experience for all of her clients. She understands that successfully selling real estate involves cooperation between sellers, buyers and agents and many times thinking “out of the box”.
Mechelle is a Partner in ARC Realty, a growing real estate company of 300+ agents and voted Birmingham’s 17th fastest growing company by the Birmingham Business Journal in 2015. She is a State Director for the Alabama Association of Realtors, five term member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors’ MLS Board, member of The Birmingham Association of Realtors Board, member of the Council of Residential Specialists, Life Time Member of The Club of Excellence, an Associate Broker, Graduate of the Real Estate Institute, an Accredited Buyer Representative, and is Nationally certified as a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource. She is a board member of the Overseer’s Board for Samford University, a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Shelby County Chamber Board, 2018 member of the BAR’s Leadership Class, Shelby County Leadership Class of 2016 and member of the Tri County LINKS, INC. Additionally, she has served as chair or member of various real estate committees. She is the past 2013-2015 President of the Greystone Ladies Club, Emeritus Member of the Hoover City School Foundation Board, member of the Coalition of 100 Black Woman of Central Alabama and a member of the Samford Legacy League. She is the co-founder of The Bethel Baptist Church’s Fine Arts Academy, a teacher with Discovery Clubs of Alabama, bible study instructor, choir director and members of three of her Church choirs. Mechelle is an honors graduate from Samford University in 1983 where she was a member of the A Capella Choir, Delta Omicron Sorority and Hypatia Honor Society. Mechelle began her marketing career as a sales representative for IBM. She is currently a law student at The Birmingham School of Law.
Mechelle has been married to the Rev Dr Thomas Lee Wilder Jr for 34 years. They have 4 children- Charis, Gilia, Thomas III and Kendra. She is a native of Montgomery, Alabama and the youngest of 11 siblings.
